Why must javaws be like this (every major version breaks most workarounds to make BMC console applets work)

I was today years old when I first discovered that if you upgrade a supermicro BMC, at the end the machine hard powers off... Good thing this was my desktop that could have been a very embarrassing RFO in production

@benjojo I didn't know you could upgrade a BMC without booting into MS DOS 5.0 and running either FLASH1.BAT, FLASH2.BAT or FLASH3.BAT, depending on the current zodiac sign and moon phase.

@deBaer The newer BMCs let you do it from the WebUI!

@benjojo @deBaer that is of course because they take your zip and unpack it, then fetch the current zodiac sign from a random manufacturer website, and finally run the appropriate BAT script in a DOSBOX environment to actually perform the update
